Reflection#1
Last week my sister started high school. That reminded me of an importatnt choice that people my age have to make every year. At the age of 16/15 kids in Poland have to decide what do they want their job to be in a couple of years. For many of us this can be a very stressful and hard decision to make. Most of kids that age don't know themselves that well yet. They are just starting to discover what they are good at and what they are truly interested in. The system is wrong. Why can't we first learn about all the possibilities that we have and than make a choice that importatnt? In my opinion high school should be the time of getting to know the world as well as ourselves, seeing what's around us and really exploring our options. Than maybe after spending three or four years like that we would acctually be ready to make the right desicion.
That's why Brits invented the idea of a gap year - to let people search for what they like doing.
OdpowiedzUsuńI definitely agree with you. We should have more time to reflect on such difficult decisions that affect our future lives. I also think that we should be taught more about the different options that we can choose.
