Reflection #8
I've realised that nowadays hardly ever people want to be who they are. Noone wants to be them anymore. People are jealous of what others have. It's as if nobody was happy with themselves. But why is that? Why can't people accept what they have been given, why do they feel the constant need to change themselves? I don't mean changing yourself in order to become a better version of yourself, to grow and to evolve. There is nothing wrong with that. But trying to be someone you are not? Purposefully changing yourself and getting ride of the things that make you who you are? I see that as quite hurtful. There is something special about everyone. There are things that make a person unique, one of a kind. This person might not like those things but somebody else might find them amazing. Everyone is meant to be different. We sholuld embrace our quirks, we should embrace all that we are. Those things make us, us.
